Sianed Jones - voice, fidel

An international touring artist. A fiddling, singing composer with an upbringing drenched in Welsh choral singing of the Eisteddfodau. Sianed's vocal research has taken her to Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Madagascar, (1987) Mongolia (1994) Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan (1999) and Brazil (2011).

Sianed has collaborated with choreographers: Tiana Razafi, theatre practitioners: IOU, Welfare State International, Nos Do Morro, writers/performance poets: Cris Cheek, story tellers - Ben Haggarty, video makers and filmmakers: Warner Bros, Mike Figgis, experimental music groups: Kahondo Style, slant and embraces multicultural collaborations with Garam Masala, Divakar Subramaniam, Carlo Alexandre Teixeira da Silva.

She has worked as composer, musician and actress for The Royal Shakespeare Company (including the Olivier award winning History season 2007/8). She is a regular soloist with The Norwich and Norfolk Festival for composers such as Arve Hendrikson, Jan Bang, Gwilym Simcock, Andy Sheppard, and Nik Bartsch. Sianed is a co-founder of the 8-piece a-capella vocal group of composer/performers Human Music. She is currently promoting her new solo voice and violin album 'Flickering into Existence'.
