Joglaresa are joined by three Italian folk musicians to sing and play with traditional vocal techniques of the Mediterranean accompanied by medieval fidel, harp, hurdygurdy and tamborello - an Italian frame-drum played since the Middle Ages. They perform the songs of the laudesi - Italian brotherhoods meeting to sing and worship in a tradition reminiscent of the Sufi brotherhoods.

Soaring Christmas carols from 14th century Italy, 13th century songs of mystic reverence and fear for the bright new star over the eastern desert, and glorious polyphonic seasonal Latin hymns from the 13th century.
